Attrition

The rate at which employees leave.

Attrition is the rate at which employees leave the organisation over a given period, whether voluntarily or otherwise. High or rising attrition raises hiring costs, drains knowledge, and often signals a gap between the employer promise and the lived experience. Because departing and former employees influence your reputation, attrition is not just an HR cost but a direct pressure on employer brand and pipeline health.
